Top Ten Flannel Fabrics
Flannels are proving to be very popular this autumn & winter with many designers bringing out new ranges. Gone are the days where flannel fabrics were just part of your grandmothers bedding, these trendy soft fabrics are just crying out to be made into snugly winter warmers.
We've bought together our top 10 flannel fabrics:
1) It was a tough choice for our number 1 spot but we just loved these cute little owls from Cloud 9, which are available in both blue and green, and pink and grey. What's more it's organic fabric so you are doing your bit for the environment.

2) This was our other contender for the top spot that just narrowly missed out. Robert Kaufman summer flowers on chocolate. This would make such a great warm winter dress for a little girl.

3) Next on the list is this stunning butterfly fabric by Monaluna, the yellow fa
bric would really stand out on a quilt or cushion or would make a stunning pair of pyjamas. It's also available in orange and there is a co-ordinating print in green too.

4) Back to the Owls again, but a different designer this time...Aren't these owls adorable? This fabric is Little Owl Blossoms designed by Valori Wells for Free Spirit. These colours are screaming 70's at me, very retro!This fabric would make a lovely soft pillow case or a brightly coloured soft toy.

5) Fifth on our list is this lovely turquoise fabric by Anna Maria Horner part of her Folksy Flannel collection. We think this would work well on a quilt or cushion.

6) Back to the cute animals again, these little bunnies are from Cloud 9's Forest flannel range which included the owls above. This flannel is available in 2 colour schemes blue and yellow as pictured here and pink and grey. They would work very well with the owls from the same range to make a baby quilt.

7) In seventh place is one for the boys, this space design flannel fabric would make lovely pyjamas for little boy. The benefit of flannel is the more you wash it the softer it gets, making it ideal for comfy pyjamas.

8) Flannel doesn't always have to be patterned to be interesting so in 8th place we have this plain red flannel, which would make a lovely comfy pair of lounging trousers for those days when you just feel like slobbing out.

9) This is another great one for boys, soft furnishings for their bedrooms or pyjamas, the John Deere distressed tractor flannel.

10) Last and by no means least, a great seaonal fabric this Robert Kaufman's Alpine Frost collection. This same design is also available in a frosty blue. These would make lovely soft Christmas stockings.
