Halloween
I love Halloween, not just because it happens to be my birthday, but because it's the one time of year you can go crazy with your creations. You can make items you wouldn't wear any other time of year and you can get away with using things like bright orange fabric!
Luckily many fabric designers and pattern companies have realised that we all love that excuse to do something a little bit different so we've put a few of our favourite items below for you with links through to the sites that stock them.
I love this fabric by Alexander Henry called The Ghastlies. This creepy modern day Adams family would be enough to give any sewing project a spooky twist.
Priced at £10.98 per meter this fabric can be purchased from the Fancy Moon website by clicking on this link.
You will find the Fancy Moon website here: www.fancymoon.co.uk
Seamstar have got a fab range of the My Mind's Eye Boo To you collection of fabrics including this one pictured called Boo scene. Although I have to say I find it more cute than scary. It is priced at £2.85 per fat quarter. You can even buy a fat quarter bundle of the whole range and receive a 10% discount. Click here to view the 'Spooky Bundle'

Abakhan Fabrics have a whole range of Halloween fabrics from quilting cotton to hollogram satin and organza. They also stock fancy dress patterns for halloween (both adults and children's) as well as ready made costumes in case you don't have the time to make them yourself.
The fabric pictured with the spider web design on it would make a great witches/wizards cloak. It is available in several colours and also with ghosts on instead of spiderwebs. It costs £4.69 per meter.
