Colourful Organic Fabrics
Not that long ago organic fabrics were through of as being dull and dreary, and there was not much to choose from either. Now several big name designers have bought out organic lines, and some companies only do organic ranges. Modern organic fabrics are bursting with colour and great designs, some of our favourites are below:
Cloud 9 - Free as a Bird
At the forefront of trendy organic fabrics is of course Cloud 9, with their fablulous collections. The most recent of their collections is Cut Out and Keep designed by Heather Moore. The pictured fabric is from that collection, and can be purchased on the Saints & Pinners website here.
Free to Grow Garden Greens by Nancy Mimms
This bright and colourful floral design is by Nancy Mimms of Mod Green Pod. She has designed a beautiful range of very bright and eyecatching floral designs, ideal for the summer. You can purchase them from Fabric With Love.
Take Flight Purple from Birch Fabrics
With it's purple coloring and use of bike wheels and birds this fabrics reminds me of Echino designs, but available as an organic fabric. This is from the Avalon collection which can be purchased from Raystitch.

Ogee by Daisy Janie
This fabric is from the 60s style geometric design Geo Grand collection from Daisy Janie. She really makes the unusual colour combination of brown, pale blue and lime green look amazing in this collection. This fabric can be purchased from organic fabric store The Cloth Seller.

Marine Life - Dan Stiles Organics
This fun & fresh collection of blue and organge marine inspired fabrics are absolutely stunning. I simply love the pictured Marine Life Fabric. This collection is manufactuered by Birch Fabrics and can be bought from Seamstar.
Cloud 9 Flock
Another lovely fabric from Cloud 9, these sweet little birds from their first collection (My Happy Garden) were so popular that they were re-released in 2 colourways in their My Happy Garden. This fabric can be purchased on Celtic Fusion Fabrics website here.
Cars Carrot from Birch Fabrics
Another quirky colourful design from Birch Fabrics this fabric is part of their Circa 50 collection with red, yellow and turquoise as the main colours. Again this can be purchased from Raystitch who have a great range of organic fabrics both patterned and plain.
Hens by Jennifer Moore
This fun print is is part of the Anika collection, manufactuered by Monaluna, the foxes fabric in this collection is also brilliant (it was a hard choice as to which one to include a picture of!). You can view all the fabrics in the collection, and purchase from Seamstar.
