If you are looking for cheap dressmaking fabrics then Remnant Kings is a great place to start. They have several stores in Scotland but also sell online. They have several dressmaking fabrics for under £6 a metre including net fabrics, gingham and spotty fabrics, taffeta, peach skin fabric, crushed velvet and satin. They also have a colourful selection of stretch fabrics at just £2.99 a metre plus lining fabrics, organza and polycotton at the same price.

Remnant House have a big selection of bargain fabrics many for less than £6 a metre. I quite like the Wedgewood poplin pictured here, available in 8 different colours for just £4.75 a metre!

Minerva Crafts have a large range of fabrics for less than £6 a metre, many of their dressmaking fabrics are around £4-£5 a metre including the cotton polins pictured.

New online fabric and haberdashery store Weaver Dee are still growing their range of fabrics but already there are several well under £6 a metre.

If you are looking for bargain dressmaking fabrics then pop on over to Abakhan Fabrics. They have hundreds of dressmaking fabrics poplin, lawn fabrics, gingham, satins, silk taffeta, wool, jersey etc a large amount of which are priced at under £6 per metre, with prices starting from around £3 per metre.
They have some pretty Liberty looking cotton lawn fabrics for just £3.25 a metre, including the one pictured to the right.
